Biography

 

Born in Ferrol (Corunna) in 1953. Autodidactic. When he was 9, he moves to A Corunna. When he was 15 years old, his father offered him a completely manual Voigtlander in order to photograph his paintings and his wrought iron pieces. Later, he used photography to make crips for his drawing exercises in his studies of Architecture that he never ended.

 

He had never thougth about making a living from photography, but now he just cannot live without it. He is specially interested in turning something ordinary into extraordinary. He tries to suggest, to evoke and to make the audience dream: he thinks that the bare reality is recalcitrant.  

 

As a lover of whatever timeless and undefined, he likes to work in the border between painting and photography. He learns how to get effects from the defects. He is not interested in fashion or in trends. Nowadays, he uses indistinctly black & white or colour. He thinks that happiness has more to do with the search for beauty than for money or fame. He is more intuitive than intellectual and thinks that fate is more exciting than certainty.
